A beautiful all engraved gilt bronze singing bird box numbered 51 and in its original box with inscription by Chevob & Co ( previously Baker-Troll & co) Geneva Switzerland. It has a lovely floral engraved decoration and engine turning to the base, and there is a hinged key drawer to the rear of case. The superb case is in the style used by Charles Bruguier. When the operating lever is activated the lid opens & the bird pops up through the grille and begins singing. At the same time he rotates 180 degrees backwards & forwards, opens and shuts his beak and flaps his wings. When he has finished he pops back into the case & the lid shuts.
